Help us stay alive, help us evacuate together.
We are the Hussein family. We have been displaced so many times we have lost count. With your help we can remain fed, and make a plan to evacuate as a family and start a new life away from fear, violence and unimaginable grief.

The first thing we'll do if we are able to evacuate, is take our brother Mohammed to get his burns and shrapnel treated. We will also get our small siblings the psychological support they urgently need. The bombs and shelling, the sounds, smells, and experiences of war have badly affected their minds and hearts.
"My family consists of 9 members: my parents... I am Huthifa, 20, a college student majoring in engineering. Mohammad is a high school student, and Jihad is 13, while Khaled is 11, both attending school. My two sisters, Shahed is a student in high school. Tulin is a lovely 4-year-old girl. Shaimaa is 21 years old and was finishing her last year of an English degree, the occupation has destroyed her dream" .
Hani, their beloved father was killed tragically in Sep 2024. This is just the latest of a series of traumatic experiences the family has been forced to endure. Their brothers Mohammed and Khaled were severely injured; Mohammed spent many days in intensive care. The nine of them, miraculously survived, yet the rest of their family members were killed in the bombing
The eldest sister, Shaimaa says: "My only hope is to save my family and leave «6« «a« «z« «a«. to start a new life from scratch. Leaving your homeland is incredibly difficult, but we are forced to do so."
The border is currently closed. However, due to the war and the halting of economic activities the family does not have enough funds to be able to escape when the borders are re-opened. Please help provide some relief to a family who is suffering unimaginable fear and grief.
WE ARE SO CLOSE!
Who is organizing this?
In 2015, Megan moved to Amman, Jordan, to work as an English and documentary film teacher at a school. There, she met Hadeel, who is from «6« «a« «z« «a« and had moved to Jordan a few years earlier. Hadeel adopted Megan as a sister, and they formed a friendship that has now lasted nine years. In April 2024, Hadeel asked Megan for support in getting her relatives who are still alive out of «6« «a« «z« «a«.. Since then, Megan has been in daily contact with Sheimaa, Hadeel's cousin, creating a path to evacuate «6« «a« «z« «a«. and rebuild their lives in another country. Subsequently, family members and a group of friends in Xalapa decided to support Megan and this cause by joining efforts to raise funds to help the Hussein family, organizing various activities such as raffles, concerts, and finding people willing to donate and spread awareness about this urgent situation.

Our family
Thanks to your support and the matching of the Dunamis Peace Institute, we managed to raise the 37,000 USD that is needed to pay for the evacuation from Egypt.
For basic needs expenses: The solidarity raffle in Xalapa raised 1390 USD. The special edition of Tulin raised 2687 USD.
We are missing 8,923 to reach our final goal of 50,000 USD which includes food costs while we wait for the border to open, as well as medical expenses and stay in Egypt once they manage to evacuate.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR SUPPORTING OUR DEAR HUSSEIN FAMILY!
